SERUMONY contains plastic, metal and small parts of electronic. Each component is chosen with the environment in mind.
Metal Shell
The shell is made out of iron which is a good, solid and easy material to maintain. Iron has been recycled for hundreds of years and there are two major benefits to reusing the iron. The need for new iron from nature is diminishing and the iron industry needs less energy to produce the iron. It is easy to mix with other metals, making it suitable for many purposes.
Our iron part is made of stainless steel and is painted at a local supplier that is environmentally certified with ISO 14001.
Steel in itself is sustainable as it can be recycled forever.
However, it demands requirements on how the suppliers works to produce it, weather green energy has been used (or in other ways tried to save energy), how they get rid of the waste in connection to production. If the supplier does not follow procedures for recycling and waste management, a lot of
sustainability of the material is lost. Therefore, we have set up requirements for our suppliers to document their procedures for recycling.
Plastic components
The plastic components used in our dispensers and refills are made from waste from the households in our local area. The waste is sorted, cleaned and then made into new granules. Our methods ensure that all the plastic components that are used in our production can be recycled after-use. SERUMONY consists of several different types of plastic, 80% of which comes from recycled plastic in the local area.

Electronics
For the development of the electronic part of the machine, we collaborate with local engineers with expertise in product development of tech solutions. The electronic parts inside the machine consist of:
- A printed circuit board
- A copper coil
- A Battery
- Printed circuit boards
What we demand from our suppliers:
- That they recycle as many materials as possible in the production process, such as boron, aluminum, MDF, etchant, tin, chemicals, copper and steel.
- That everything that cannot be recycled will be handled in relation to the type of waste and local legislation.
- That they have control over their wastewater treatment in connection with production in accordance with local legislation.
Paint
To give the dispenser the exclusive look, high-quality and environmentally friendly spray paint has been used, which is made in a certified sustainable and CO2-neutral painting workshop. Our metal case is powder coated and comes with epoxy and polyester powders. It is the optimal solution for surface treatment of e.g. aluminum and steel. Powder coating creates a very robust surface, which is scratch resistant and effectively protects against both mechanical and climatic influences.

Hand Sanitizer Refill (80%)
The refill is a mixture of 80% ethanol with added organic Aloe Vera, organic glycerin and organic vitamin E ensuring moisturizing care for your hands. The liquid is allergy friendly and certified by the Danish organization “Allergy Certified”. Our refills are 1,000 ml and you get 2,400 dosages on one Refill. This is to minimize waste and maintenance because let´s face it: You don´t want to spend a lot of time maintaining your hand sanitizer dispenser. With large refills, you do not have to check in on your dispenser very often.
